The Company

The historical tradition of Livery Companies is that of supporting, developing and protecting their trades and crafts, whilst acting in charitable ways in the wider community and also being ‘clubs’ in which members can enjoy fellowship

The Worshipful Company of Management Consultants became a fully-fledged Livery Company of the City of London on 4th May 2004. With many challenges before it, the Company is now proudly the 105th Livery Company in a succession dating back to medieval times. Though much has gone before, in many ways this is only the beginning.

The overall mission of the management consultancy profession is to help necessary change in business and in the wider community to happen more quickly, effectively and with more certainty of delivering results

WCoMC Coat of Arms

Members of the Company come from a number of disciplines including strategy, IT, operations, management development, HR, change management whilst working for large Global firms, SME consultancies as well as interim assignments.

Members are involved in providing pro-bono services to develop charities and executives and typically deal with issues of financial skills, global competitiveness and organisational success.  The Company has a very close association with the Sir John Cass Business School where we have helped found the Centre for Charity Effectiveness to address these issues in the not-for-profit sector.
