For the 2011 Education Supper we returned to Pewterers’ Hall, Oat Lane, London EC2V 7DE on Tuesday, 14 June 2011. The evening began with an Admissions Ceremony at 6.30pm, followed by a Reception (which was held in the small park next to the Hall), and Supper, during which the Urwick Cup was presented to the winning student.

Thanks to the good offices of the Master, our Guests of Honour was the Rt Hon David Willetts MP, Minister of State for Universities and Science (Parliamentary duties permitting); and Sir Adrian Smith, Director General, Knowledge and Innovation.

David Willets has been Member of Parliament for Havant since 1992 and has written widely on economic and social policy.  Sir Adrian was appointed to his present position in December 2010 following another Civil Service appointment and ten years as Principal of Queen Mary, University of London.
