Annual Service and Reception Our Annual Service was held on Thursday 24 September at 1700 in our new 'Parish Church' of St James Garlickhythe, Garlick Hill, EC4V 2AL. The church was rebuilt in 1683 and is known as 'Wren's Lantern' because of the amount of light entering the building. The Court, led by the Beadle and with the Master and Wardens' in full robes, left Skinners' Hall after the Election Court at 1645 and proceeded up the hill to the church. After the service the procession left the church and walked to the Little Ship Club where five new Members were admitted followed by a buffet reception. |
