The 2010 Charities Supper was held on Thursday, 14 January 2010 at Salters’ Hall and was preceded by an Admissions ceremony. The focus of the evening was on our “School”, The Centre for Charity Effectiveness; and the evening was a celebration of what the Centre has achieved and of the support we have given it in pro-bono time and finance.

The theme for the Supper were a celebration of the Company’s ‘Livery School’, the Centre for Charity Effectiveness. The guest speakers were:

• Andrew Hind, Chief Executive of the Charity Commission for England and Wales,

• Mark Santos, Director Positive East (improving the quality of life of individuals and communities affected by HIV in East London and,

• Professor Paul Palmer of the Cass Centre for Charity Effectiveness.

As always this was an opportunity for members to meet and hear stories of how we have helped charities, and also Company members to bring along mentees and consultancy clients with whom they have worked.
