Mary started business
life in retail (with MandS) and due to a series of accidents
with a bit of foresight eventually entered
management consultancy via the sales and marketing route with a
small specialist change management practice which was acquired
by an IT company. Whilst there she ran their public sector and
strategy practices (not simultaneously) before joining the
outsourcing division. She currently works for a business
services outsource company running their central government
business where her consultancy expertise has proved invaluable.
One of the founder members of WCoMC she is passionate about the
difference the Company makes in its charitable and educational
activities and has a great deal of affection for the traditions
and aims of the Livery and for our Company, with all its foibles .
Living in Cambridge and London and with three grown up children
and one grandchild she is surprised to find that her family and
social life remains as hectic as her business life despite
advancing years. Despite this she still finds
time for opera and theatre, for gardening and for everything
outdoor including skiing, scuba diving and hill walking - and of
course the activities of WCoMC.
