Charities Supper 2019

Our Annual Celebration of our Pro-Bono work.  This event is open both to Company Members and Non-Members to book.

Our ProBono Work in the Spotlight

Our ProBono work differentiates WCoMC from all other Livery Companies, with our members providing over £1m of support per annum through their consultancy or mentoring work to some 80 clients each year.

This is one of our defining annual events so we are very keen to share this traditional occasion with as many of our contacts and clients in the Third Sector as possible, particularly introducing the spectacular setting of a City Livery Hall to them.  We would therefore encourage all members to invite such contacts and clients as guests to ensure this tradition continues. If you are not able to attend and invite guests, do note that non-members may also book directly, paying via PayPal.

We have three speakers from our ProBono clients who will speak briefly about their work and how they have gone "onwards and upwards" following our help:

  • Anna Baker Cresswell - the Founder and Development Director of HighGround, a charity established in 2012 to help ex-military personnel find jobs in the outdoors.
  • Mark Bixter – General Manager of Magic Me, which uses arts to bring the generations together.
  • Shireen Irani – the Founder and Executive Director of iProBono, which harnesses technology to mobilise its network of lawyers for the public good.

The supper will be preceded by an Admissions Ceremony, a traditional opportunity for existing members to welcome new Freemen and congratulate those who are being clothed in our Livery.

Members and registered Event Account Holders can click on this Participant Listing link to see who has booked.

Please note that payment for this event can be by Direct Debit or by PayPal.
