ProBono Workshop - National Trustee Survey
Help us to help the Third (non-Profit) Sector
We have been working on a research project with the Cass Centre for Charity Effectiveness and the Charity Commission that was part funded by the Office of Civil Society (OCS) and our own Charitable Fund. From the ProBono Committee’s perspective, steps to improve Charity Governance, building on this research, is an ideal way for WCoMC to support the whole sector.
The key findings, conclusions and recommendations from this research project are now available. The Research Report is expected to be launched in October by Tracey Crouch, who is now the Minister with responsibility for Civil Society. In advance of this launch, the Pro Bono Committee would now like to:
- Share these results more widely with our members, and
- Get ideas on proposed actions to address the issues arising,
especially identifying where WCoMC might be involved.
You are therefore invited to attend the latest in our occasional series of pro bono evenings, to hear about and debate the results of the survey and discuss the implications and actions to take. The evening will be hosted by Bob Harris, and our intention is that Prof Stephen Lee from Cass, who led the research, will be present.
Members and registered Event Account Holders can click on this Participant Listing link to see who has booked.
Please note that this event is "cash on the door" to cover the cost of the venue, the welcoming drinks before the start (at 6.30pm) and the buffet and drinks that will be provided afterwards. As this is potentially a very important strategic event for us, we are subsidising the cost. Please bring £20 per person.
