The Big City Loyal Toast - Monday 30 May

This is a great opportunity to catch up with colleagues, toast the Queen on the unprecedented occasion of her Platinum Jubilee and help to set a new world record.  This event is open both to Company Members and Non-Members to attend.

  
​Tasting, toasting and tittle-tattle

The background is that we have been invited by the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists to join the Big City Loyal Toast, further details here, which will take place at 5.45pm on Monday 30th May. The WCIT is providing an opportunity for the whole livery movement and the City of London to join the Lord Mayor, the Lord Lieutenant of Greater London, and the Bishop of London, to raise a glass to Her Majesty. Singing of the National Anthem will be led by Voces8, the City’s world leading a capella group. It is hoped to break the world record of 350 people for an online loyal toast. So please join online and show your gratitude and support for Her Majesty.

The plan for the evening is:

  • Join the Company Zoom call at 5.30pm and open your wine
  • Switch over to the Big City Loyal Toast at 5.45pm
  • Return to the Company Zoom call when the Toast is concluded for an informal catch-up with colleagues

We hope that many of you will join us both before the formal toast and afterwards. The choice of wine is yours, but our Wine Club Virtual Tasting Team has suggested that you may wish to select one of:

UVC Petit Chablis (available from Waitrose at £12.99)
Crémant de Bourgogne (also available from Waitrose at £14.99)
