Annual Church Service and Reception

Join the Master, Wardens, Court and other company members in the annual rededication of the Company and then to gather to celebrate its achievements.

Our Annual Church Service is taking place on 17th September 2025 so if you have not yet booked in then please do so as soon as possible so we can sort out all the arrangementsfor this event. I am pleased to announce that this event is open both to Company Members and Non-Members.

All Members and their guests are invited to join the Annual Church Service which this year will be held in St Lawrence Jewry, Guildhall. It is a Church of England in the City of London on Gresham Street, next to the Guildhall. It was destroyed in the Great Fire of London in 1666 and rebuilt to the designs of Sir Christopher Wren. It is the official church of the Lord Mayor of London.

Details of the service will be made available nearer the day and the service will be led by our Chaplain Fr. James Titley of St Lawrence Jewry.

After the Court meeting and prior to the service the Master and Wardens, in their gowns, and Members of the Court will process to the church. You are welcome to join the Court procession and further details about this will be issued nearer the day.

There is no charge to attend the service but we ask that you register to assist in managing the seating arrangements and there will be a collection during the service in aid of the church. The service will commence at 18:00, but please arrive at the church and be seated by no later than17:50. 

Autumn Reception

After the service there will be a reception at the rear of this wonderful church which will enable you to catch up with colleagues over a couple of glasses of wine, from the Company Cellar, with canapés. After the reception, there will be an opportunity to continue at a local pub or restaurant should you so desire. There will be a small charge of £30.00pp for those attending the reception whether or not you join us for the church service.
