Election of Lord Mayor & Lunch

"All Liverymen who appear on the 2026 Common Hall Register (i.e. who became a Liveryman before 31 May 2025) are summoned to meet at Guildhall on Tuesday 29th September 2026 for the election of the Lord Mayor."

As usual, passes for admission to Guildhall are available in advance from me; those without a pass will be required to verify their name and Company which can delay admission. This year the Livery Committee has once again asked that Liverymen refrain from saving seats for their colleagues as this disadvantages other Liverymen who arrive in good time. Liverymen are required to be seated by 11.30, but it is recommended you arrive closer to 11.00 to ensure a good seat as Common Hall is likely to be well attended.

Lunch after the Election

This year the Company have been invited for lunch in the wonderful Innholders' Hall after the election which is just a short stroll from Guildhall. Cost for luncheon is £87.50pp (incl VAT) and timing is 12.30 for 1.00pm, but precise timings will be dependent upon the event at Guildhall.

Places are limited for the lunch so please email me as soon as possible to book and no later than 17th September 2026.  Each Liveryman may be accompanied by a guest if desired. Those attending the lunch will be Direct Debited shortly after the event.

Dress code is "Business Attire"
