Installation Dinner 2026
Please Save the Date
The Master, Wardens and Company Court warmly invite you to one of the most important and prestigious events in our Company’s forward calendar — the Installation of our next Master, to be held at the historic Apothecaries’ Hall, London, on Wednesday, 14 October 2026.
The Installation marks the beginning of our Livery Year, when the robes and chain of office are passed from the current Master and Wardens to the new ‘team’ who will take us forward. This is therefore a ‘must attend’ ceremony to witness, which is followed by a celebratory dinner bringing together the very best of our Company’s traditions and thought leadership, alongside fine dining and fellowship.
This is your opportunity to be part of a defining moment in the life of WCoMC – to welcome our new Master, engage with the future of our Company and profession, and enjoy an evening of camaraderie in the grandeur of Apothecaries’ Hall. This is the oldest extant livery company Hall in the City of London with the Apothecaries acquiring their Hall in Blackfriars in 1632. The original Hall burnt down in the Great Fire of 1666 and was rebuilt in 1672. A major restoration was carried out in the 1780s, when an ‘Elaboratory’ was included for the first-ever large-scale manufacture of drugs, located on ground level along the eastern side of the courtyard, underneath the Great Hall. Although the Hall underwent major redevelopment 200 years later, its external appearance has altered little since the late-18th century. Apothecaries’ Hall secret courtyard has been refurbished recently, to a stunning white with blue façade.
The evening includes a three-course fine dining experience, accompanied by carefully selected wines from our Company’s own cellar. During the dinner, as is our tradition to recognise outstanding achievement within the Sea Cadets, we will be presenting the Satjit Cup and later we will share in the Loving Cup ceremony in keeping with our historic livery traditions. After the dinner, there will be a Stirrup Cup to allow time for social networking and catching up with fellow members.
Full details will be distributed very shortly to enable you to book, but in the meantime please ensure this major event in the Company calendar is in your diary - an event not to be missed!
Please note that payment for this event will be processed by Stripe (debit/credit card).
