Inaugural Fellowship Forum - an on-line community space for our members
We are introducing something new, and we want you to try it.
It’s called The Fellowship Forum. It is an on-line community space for our members.
Why is this forum being introduced?
One of the greatest strengths of our Company lies in the depth of experience and genuine camaraderie that exists across our membership. We want to create more opportunities for you to enjoy it and benefit from it. Through this forum, you will be able to:
- Catch up on existing and create new friendships with other members
- Find out more about the Company, both its history and its plans for the future
- Enhance your own network of personal and business contacts
- Share knowledge, and in doing so, both seek and give advice to others
- Stay better connected, particularly if London-based events are not convenient
In that spirit, you are warmly invited you to join this open, informal, online forum and help us to bring our community closer together.
This format is intentionally simple. There will be no formal agenda, no powerpoint presentations, no minutes, and no recording. We are offering a space where members can speak freely, listen openly, and network with each other in a beneficial way.
The forum will be moderated by Amarjeet Hans, one of our recent joiners. Amarjeet is a business adviser and management accountant with extensive international experience spanning the UK, Europe, USA and the Middle East. As a consultant, he advises SMEs on strategic finance, fundraising, growth and market expansion, while also serving as a mentor and non-executive director to a range of businesses. Within AICPA/CIMA, Amarjeet has held a number of senior leadership roles, including Council member, Vice Chair of the Global Member Engagement Committee and a member of the Management Accounting Professional Unit Board. He has run similar forums in the past.
The forum will also be supported by Dr. Simon Davey, as our technical studio manager. Simon is an active management consultant and well known to the Company. He has played a critical role both in supporting the technology on which Company depends, and in our work supporting the education of young people. He also has relevant experience of such forums.
Whether you have been deeply involved in the Company’s activities, have recently joined and are finding your feet, or simply looking for a way to get more involved, this forum is for you. As the current Master, it has my full support, and I would encourage you to join in.
