ProBono Evening: Cass Business School, 10th June

Please note the change of date (originally 22nd May). The meeting starts at 5.30pm for 6.00pm and will be held at 106 Bunhill Row, London EC1Y 8TZ.

WCoMC is working with the Charities Commission and Accreditation Providers Forum to assess impact by demonstrating the benefits (or otherwise) to charities of implementing Quality Assurance Systems. This meeting will follow the format of our previous successful workshops; we will examine and outline some of the factors and measures used to assess the benefits of Quality Assurance Systems. We are delighted that Richard Bridge, Director of Enterprise, Community Matters, ‘home of the national VISIBLE standards’ will speak at this event and provide more insight on this subject. Some background information will also be sent out nearer the date. We hope there will be additional feedback from two of the charities chosen for the review. The initial plan for the evening is a talk from Richard, any questions on the background information, then a workshop type approach exploring in more detail how we might assess the benefits.

This should prove to be an interesting and enjoyable evening. As usual there will be a buffet and drinks and an opportunity to network with other consultants who are carrying out pro bono assignments. The cost will be £25 payable on the door.

Further details are available from Derek Miller and registration will be through our website.

Celebration Dinner: Plaisterers' Hall, 17th June

The second Management Consultants Celebration Dinner aims to celebrate the pro bono work undertaken by management consultancy firms and individual consultants in support of community and voluntary groups at a local, regional and national level. It follows the successful launch event in May 2013 which attracted over 180 attendees, from management consultancy companies across the industry. The aim of course is to continue encouraging pro-bono work through which consultants "put something back" and add value for those most in need, and our three organisations are delighted to promote this event, jointly representing three key strands of the profession.

The Celebration commences with a reception at 7pm on June 17th at Plaisterers Hall in the heart of the City.

Further details are available from Bob Harris who will also arrange your reservation.
