My most interesting project #3
The most interesting project that I ever did
Two of our Members will describe an interesting and challenging consultancy project in which they took a leading role, providing an opportunity for knowledge sharing, interaction and maybe also entertainment:
Dennis Ciborowski will present a talk from his base in Florida on:
"What would you do if you owned London Underground?"
This will describe a major assignment which over 28 months involved more than 180 man-years of consulting effort. It achieved very large cost savings without a day of industrial action. Dennis says that his talk will touch on sex, corruption and incompetence - so make sure you sign up to hear what front-line consulting is all about.
Steve Cant started his career in London Transport as a graduate trainee, but he won't be talking about public transport. Instead, his talk will be on:
"How we brought peace in a warring museum - using a value chain approach".
This is an example of corporate in-fighting and turf wars which was resolved using a classic consulting technique.
