On the 23rd October 2025 the Faith Group will be holding its next event, on zoom.
The Bishop of Croydon, Dr Rosemarie Mallett and Dr Zigmund (Ziggy) Rogoff, former President of Jews for Jesus, will be describing their journey to religion and faith.
Bishop Rosemarie Mallett
The Right Reverend Dr Rosemarie Mallett currently is Bishop of Croydon. She was born in Barbados and moved to the United Kingdom as a child. She studied history and French at the University of Sussex and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree and later obtained a PhD from the University of Warwick.
She is the joint lead bishop for racial justice, alongside Bishop Arun Arora, Bishop of Kirkstall. Also, she is a deputy chair of the Racial Justice Board, a committee of the Archbishops' Council.
Dr Ziggy Rogoff
Dr Zigmund Rogoff grew up in a traditional Jewish home. His family kept kosher, and his bar mitzvah was held at the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem.
Whilst studying for his PhD he one of his friends was on a journey of faith in Messiah. He in turn invited Zigmund to St Helen's Bishopsgate and went on to read the prophecies about the Messiah in the Law and the Prophets (Hebrew Old Testament) and concluded that Jesus fulfilled these prophecies. Later he came on staff with ‘Jews for Jesus’.
Zigmund is married to Cristiana, and they live in North London with their two young boys. He works with Jews for Jesus in London, helping Jewish communities understand who Jesus is.
