Pro Bono Workshop

Strategy development for Charities

One of the most common reasons for charities contacting WCoMC is to ask for help in developing their strategy, either for the whole organisation or for certain services or departments. A lot of practical experience in developing such strategies is known by WCoMC members, as we are one of the largest providers of pro bono management consultancy services to smaller charities.

The purpose of the workshop is to look at the practical aspects of developing a strategy for charities and share experience between members - there will be three short presentations from members followed by discussions. The discusson leaders are John Corneille, Bob Harris and Andrew Miskin, they are well known both inside and outside WCoMC. It will be a practical workshop style event. There will not be long presentations on the theory of strategies. We will leave plenty of time for discussions on how to develop strategies, with learning and support from other members.

The aims of the meeting are to:

  • Show how WCoMC can encourage and support members working with charities.
  • Improve WCoMC knowledge base on strategy development.
  • Understand how other people have approached developing strategies.
  • Network.

The charge for the event will be £25 payable on the door to cover the cost of the finger buffet and wine during the evening. To reserve please email Derek Miller or click though using the "Register Now" button on this page.
