Several major consultancies have established a new route into management consulting via apprenticeship programmes. Come along and learn how IBM has developed apprenticeship pathways as part of its early professionals development programme for management consultants.

  
​Apprenticeships in Management Consulting

Jonathan White will be talking about the types of professional apprenticeships offered by IBM, including those for trainee management consultants.  He will describe the development of the apprenticeship pathways and some early "lessons learned" both from the development of the pathways and also some of the experiences from some of their apprentices.

Jonathan is the Early Professionals Manager within IBM, working with and managing early professionals in IBM's Foundation organisation - covering apprentices, graduates, university placements and futures students. He is currently managing a number of apprentices on the new apprenticeship pathways, and is also responsible for the definition of the Junior Management Consultant pathway. He previously managed graduates, university placement students and also ran IBM's work experience programme for 2 years.

Prior to managing early professionals, Jonathan was a management consultant in the IBM Global Business Services unit for 16 years, working with numerous global clients.
