New Master's Reception - 24 November

Our new Master will report on the Company's activities and future plans.  This event is open both to Company Members and Non-Members to book.

  
​New Master's Reception - Guildhall Members' Dining Room

This evening reception will provide an opportunity for current and prospective Members to raise issues with the Master and Wardens about the past year and our future plans. The Annual Report for 2020-21 will be issued shortly before the reception, and there will be a series of presentations about various aspects of the Company's strategy and plans.



The reception will take place in the Members' Dining Room of the historic Guildhall and will commence with an Admission Ceremony, followed by several short presentations:

  • Master Steve Cant will provide an overview of our strategy.
  • Assistant Andy Miles will report on the work of the Livery Climate Action Group, what it means for livery companies and our own climate action plan.
  • First Warden Chris Sutton will describe our plans to strengthen our relationship with the management consulting industry.
  • Chair of Trustees John Corneille will describe the future plans for the Charitable Fund, and its relationship with our pro bono work.
  • Assistant Nick Bush will set out the plans for CMCE for the forthcoming year.

Following a period for questions, the formal part of the proceedings will then give way to a convivial reception, providing an opportunity to network with colleagues and guests. There will be a selection of canapes accompanied by wine from the Company Cellar to fuel our discussion until 8.30pm. Following our departure from the Guildhall, it is likely that a smaller group will adjourn to a local pub to continue discussing issues of the day.
